Things I learned in Mont Tremblant: Barn Owls (Tyto alba)
Barn owls have amazing tricks to optimize hearing.
They have a flat, disk shaped face that brings sound to their ears.
The ears themselves are asymmetrical allowing them to easily pinpoint where a sound is coming from.
Along with excellent hearing, they are silent fliers. Soft feathers allow them to fly without a sound, making them awesome hunters.
